League rolls out SEARCH Program

11-05-09 Feature Story:

The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers has recently been awarded a Student/Resident Experiences and Rotations in Community Health (SEARCH) contract. The SEARCH program provides opportunities for health professions' students and residents to serve on multidisciplinary health care teams in underserved communities throughout the United States and its territories, thereby establishing and strengthening links between community-based sites and academic institutions.

In order to successfully accomplish the contract objectives, the League is seeking participation and commitment from community health centers and their primary care providers. All Massachusetts community health centers are invited to apply. Interested sites will be reviewed and selected as student/resident training sites.
