9 Health Centers Awarded Behavioral Health Integration Funding

The nation's Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia M. Burwell last week announced that nine Massachusetts health centers have been awarded a total of $2.25 million in Affordable Care Act funding to hire new mental health professionals, add mental health and substance abuse services, and deploy integrated models of primary care. A total of $54.6 million will be distributed nationwide to support the efforts of 221 health centers in 47 states and Puerto Rico to establish or expand behavioral health services for over 450,000 patients.
